In March, we had the pleasure of attending one of our favourite events, 100% Optical, the UK’s leading optical trade show. You can learn more about 100% Optical here. While we were there, we discovered a stunning eyewear brand from Copenhagen called Ørgreen Optics. Known for their premium quality and minimalist Scandi design, we fell in love with the collection the moment we saw it. We’re delighted to announce that Ørgreen eyewear has now arrived in-store.

So, without further ado, let us introduce you to the exciting new Ørgreen eyewear collection from Copenhagen. Frames are crafted from the finest Japanese acetate, and renowned for their exceptional quality and unique colour combinations. The craftsmanship is second to none, and we’re proud to showcase Ørgreen products here at Respectacle Company.

Ørgreen Eyewear from Copenhagen: where style meets substance

The Ørgreen story began when three friends – Henrik Ørgreen, Gregers Fastrup and Sahra Lysell – got together to design high quality eyewear, more than two decades ago. Ørgreen Optics was born, and their frames are now distributed to more than fifty countries worldwide.

Ørgreen takes inspiration for their distinctive colour palettes from art, architecture, and nature, carefully researching how different colour combinations influence mood and energy. Every piece of Ørgreen eyewear is meticulously crafted in Japan – a country known for its outstanding eyewear manufacturing. We previously stocked frames from the Albert I’mStein collection, but due to Covid and Brexit, we hadn’t revisited it for quite some time, and we really missed it. After seeing the new models at the trade shows earlier this year, we couldn’t wait to order some new stock. Spring has finally arrived, and we have topped up on some sunglasses we know you will love. We’ve recently taken delivery of Woow Eyewear’s 2025 Spring/Summer collection. This year’s sunglass collection is a tribute to the Paris 2024 Olympics. Woow Eyewear has launched a vibrant range of models called Wo’olympics and as usual for Woow, it’s a fun, colourful release. Many of the models pay homage to the athletes and events that took place in Woow’s home city of Paris last year. Drawing inspiration from the sporting events, medals, ceremonies, and country flags, the collection is a fitting tribute to this iconic competition. In other news, our Love Eyewear Award has finally arrived!

In other exciting news, our latest delivery wasn’t just new eyewear. In a previous blog, we shared how thrilled and proud we were to be named ‘Eyewear Retailer of the Year’ at 100% Optical. Last week, our beautiful new ‘Love Eyewear Award’ trophy arrived. We can now proudly display it in-store, alongside the award we received in January at the SightCare Awards for ‘Frame Styling Practice of the Year’. It’s starting to feel like we’re building a collection of industry honours! It’s wonderful for our team to be recognised for the hard work and exceptional customer care we provide to our patients. To celebrate these two amazing achievements, we’re planning a well-deserved team day out later in the year!
