A New Chapter for Respectacle Company: Welcoming the Next Part of Our Story

There are moments in life when opportunity meets purpose – and for me, this is one of them. I’m delighted to share that I have taken ownership of Respectacle Company, a practice that has long been known for its personal touch, clinical excellence, and genuine care for the Market Harborough community.

From the moment I first stepped through the doors of our Manor Walk practice, I could feel what makes this independent opticians so special. It wasn’t just the beautifully curated frames or the advanced clinical equipment – it was the atmosphere. Warm. Welcoming. Genuinely human.

Respectacle Company has always stood for something more than eyewear. It’s about helping people see better, feel more confident, and express who they are through expert, personalised eye care. That ethos is exactly what drew me in – and it’s what I’m proud to carry forward.

A Little About My Journey in Optics and Eye Care

I’m proud to share that I am an FBDO-qualified dispensing optician, just like Alison. My background has always been rooted in supporting independent opticians and optical practices, helping teams grow, and ensuring patients receive the kind of eye care and attention that makes them feel genuinely looked after.

Away from work, I’m a family man – blessed with a wonderful wife and two amazing children who inspire me every day. They’re a big part of why I value community, connection, and creating a place where people feel truly cared for. Those values guide everything I do.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of:

  • Working alongside passionate optical practice teams
  • Helping independent practices strengthen their patient experience
  • Supporting staff development, mentoring and training
  • Building long‑lasting relationships within the optical community

Those experiences shaped my belief that independent practices thrive when they stay true to who they are – personal, caring, and community‑driven. It’s that belief that led me here, to Respectacle Company in Market Harborough.
