View the Entire Theo Eyewear Collection at Our Theo Styling Event 

We are very excited to be welcoming Monica from Theo eyewear into our store on Manor Walk for a day dedicated to Theo eyewear. On Tuesday, the 17th of May, we will be offering styling consultations throughout the day when you will have the chance to view the whole Theo collection. This event is an opportunity to view the Theo collection within our informal, relaxed store whilst nibbling on some refreshments.

Many of our customers choose Theo for its uniqueness and individuality and once hooked, they stay very loyal to this fabulous brand. Being one of the few stockists in the UK, we have customers who travel long distances to visit our store. They return to us time and time again when it comes time to purchase a new Theo frame.

Theo is a worldwide eyewear collection. But their frames are not mass-produced or offered through high street chains or the internet. Meaning many people are not aware of this innovative collection. So, if you are unfamiliar with Theo, let us introduce you to this colourful and unique eyewear brand.

Originating from Belgium, Theo was the inspiration of two opticians, Wim Somers, and Patrick Hoet. Wim and Patrick wanted to offer their customers something different compared to the mainstream frames available in the late 1980s. They launched their first collection under an anagram of their names. And so, Theo was born. Initially, the eyewear collection only reached the avant-garde. But as each eyewear collection evolved, they moved further afield. After attending a trade fair in Paris – where they showed their frames on a staircase – the orders started to increase and increase. With every collection released, the brand attracted a wider audience. Customers love the striking colour palette and technical brilliance.

Theo has always supported the arts. And so, as the brand has grown over the years, they have collaborated with artists, designing families (known as collections) of eyewear with an artistic flair and ground-breaking use of materials. Theo delivers a crossover between eyewear, fashion, and art.

Theo doesn’t follow fashion trends. They produce ‘families’ of individual eyewear pieces, all designed with humour, love, and ingenious methods of manufacture. Each family follows a theme, and each model depicts an element of that family. For example, one family is called ‘potatoes’ with each model named after a type of potato dish, and they all come in a plethora of striking colours.

There is so much to discover within the Theo brand. With a small number of stockists in the UK, we feel very privileged to offer these works of art to our lovely customers. We are even more excited to show the complete Theo collection to our customers, with Monica from Theo bringing the entire collection from Belgium to our store in Manor Walk.
