The cost of many everyday things continues to spiral around us. Here in the UK, inflation is at a forty-year high. And the media constantly talks about soaring energy bills and fuel prices. It’s no wonder people are being quite cautious about spending money. Many of us are tightening our belts and thinking a little bit more carefully about what we buy and how we spend our money.

But most of us wear our spectacles practically every day of the year. And we expect them to serve us well for about two years of constant wear. So, the initial outlay is worth it. Take a moment to break down the cost over the lifetime of your glasses. Your spectacles are costing you around £1 per day. That’s less than your favourite takeaway coffee.
Of course, it’s all a matter of perspective. We recall one customer questioning the cost of his driving spectacles. Indeed, the gentleman could have saved himself quite a bit of money by selling his almost new car. Without his spectacles, he wasn’t legally able to drive. So, in the grand scheme of things, the cost of the glasses was a small percentage of the cost of his car, which he really enjoyed driving.
