Spotlight on Gotti Switzerland
It’s time for another blog where we put one of our partnered eyewear brands under the spotlight. This month it’s the turn of Gotti Switzerland who, as the name suggests, herald from beautiful Switzerland. Founded by optician-turned-designer Sven Gotti in 1993, their products are available in 40 countries. We acquired this collection in early 2018 and it has proven popular with our customers who favour a minimalist look and a lightweight frame when choosing their eyewear.
Gotti glasses are designed in Switzerland, however the glasses are produced by experts in their fields in Japan, Austria and Germany, using a manufacturing process that combines state-of-the-art technology with traditional craftsmanship. Their attention to detail is second to none and the build quality of their eyewear is exceptional. The company believe in keeping things simple, and in our opinion, they do minimalism so beautifully.
Gotti have won several renowned international awards for their eyewear, including gold in the 2019 IF Design Awards, Eyewear of the Year at the 2018 Optician Awards, and gold in the 2017 IDA International Design Awards.
Their eyewear collections – which comprises of both ophthalmic frames and sunglasses – are not mass produced and are only available in a select number of optical stores around the world. The frames are constructed from the highest quality hypoallergenic materials – namely titanium, buffalo horn and a specially manufactured acetate – to ensure supreme comfort and a superb fit. Each piece of Gotti eyewear embraces a conventional look, and feature clean lines and retro shapes. They are easily one of the lightest frames we stock, and that’s one of the brands biggest selling points.
The Gotti Switzerland collection includes titanium, acetate and buffalo horn frames. There’s a frame shape to suit every face shape, from panto and round to aviator and square frames. Currently we stock a variety of lightweight titanium frames, which are available in different minimalist shapes and styles. So there’s a look to suit everyone. Our favourite Gotti Switzerland models include the Jamey and the Jarre. We also stock square-shaped frames Davis and Loyd.
