Many people opt for children’s frames instead. But the problem is the options are limiting. Frames for children are often only available in bright colours with hearts and stars on them, which is fine when you’re six or seven, but not so much when you’re forty-seven!

We have taken delivery of some new models from Caroline Abram, which are mini models of her main collection, specially designed for ladies with smaller faces. It means they are perfect for our finer-featured customers. We wanted to highlight some of these frames, so you know where to come if you require a small frame.
But first, let’s introduce you to Caroline Abram. The collection hails from Paris, France. We have stocked the brand for quite a few years now. With their colour palettes and soft curvaceous shaping, the collection epitomises femininity. Caroline Abram has been a popular choice with our clients since we added those very first frames to our eyewear collections.
Caroline has won several gold Silmo awards for her collections over the years. Highly regarded throughout the optical industry, she is optically trained and started her career working in optical stores before opening a workshop in Dakar, West Africa, where she grew up. Dakar is the capital of Senegal, and it was here that her optical accessories, including chains and lorgnettes, were manufactured. In fact, Caroline first came to international success after reviving the lorgnette.
Known for her love of travel, Caroline has travelled extensively across the globe. She is drawn to the charm of Florida and the old-world vintage style of Miami and influences from the 60’s eyewear trends. These aspects have influenced many of Caroline’s releases, using cat eye shapes and retro colour palettes.
So, let’s discuss our new collection of Caroline Abram minis. First up is Mini Cutie, a small but bold piece in a hexagonal shape with coordinating colour sides. This model is available at Respectacle Company in bottle green with purple sides and classic tortoise with shell pink sides. We also have Mini Bunny, a rounder, softer shape with a bevelled top, which we stock in raspberry or duck blue.
We understand the difficulty that some of our customers face in finding the right frame to fit their features. We also appreciate that they want something befitting a grown-up, and not a frame manufactured for children. Which is why we also stock a range of frames from Nifties eyewear. Nifties are for people with a narrow temple width. The collection does not compromise on style and offers interesting shapes in both classic and colourful colourways. We have models for men and women, including model 8530 in aubergine with contrasting gold bridge and sides and 8517 in raspberry pink with gold sides. There are also acetate options like 9486 in pink with purple and tortoiseshell sides.
People are all unique and come in all shapes and sizes.
