As the UK experienced another hot weekend, Chris was lucky enough to be invited by Ørgreen Optics, along with a selection of representatives from independent opticians across Europe, to escape to the slightly cooler climate of Copenhagen in Denmark.
Here at Respectacle, we’ve built a strong reputation in and around Market Harborough for our unique and distinctive eyewear. In fact, our styling expertise has earned us national recognition, with two prestigious awards for frame styling and eyewear retailing. So, when it comes to curating and showcasing our eyewear collections to our customers, we like to think we know what we’re doing!
Our reputation has really grown over the past few years, and it’s been lovely to see so many customers travelling from far and wide to visit us here on Manor Walk in Market Harborough. It’s great that more people are realising you don’t have to go to big cities like London, Manchester, or Edinburgh to find high-fashion eyewear – you can discover amazing styles from independent eyewear designers right here in Market Harborough.
We have enjoyed the warmest May on record – and what a treat the spring sunshine has been! Not only that, but we’ve also had more sunshine this spring than we did all last summer! Although rumour has it the rain will return for the bank holiday weekend – surprise, surprise, some things never change.

In March, we had the pleasure of attending one of our favourite events, 100% Optical, the UK’s leading optical trade show. You can learn more about 100% Optical here. While we were there, we discovered a stunning eyewear brand from Copenhagen called Ørgreen Optics. Known for their premium quality and minimalist Scandi design, we fell in love with the collection the moment we saw it. We’re delighted to announce that Ørgreen eyewear has now arrived in-store.
